Runner-up here last out after a five-month lay-off, THREE SPOKES pulled ahead late for a 1/2-length win in a six-furlong Maiden Special Weight at Indiana Grand. The 3-year-old filly by DAAHER tracked the leaders early in this eight-horse field. She began to inch closer on the turn, got through an opening along the rail before they reached the top of the stretch, took the lead near the eighth pole and proved best. THREE SPOKES was twice placed in Maiden Special Weight company last year as a juvenile, including a runner-up finish to a next out stakes winner. She is out of the Cozzene mare, Mocha Queen.
