Stakes Winner BAREFOOT GYPSY Wins Her Third in Four Starts

The only 3-year-old and filly in the race, stakes winner BAREFOOT GYPSY won for the third time in four career starts taking a six-furlong allowance by 3/4 length. The daughter of DAAHER tracked the leader for the first half about a length off the front. She began to move up on the leader around the turn, gained command near the top of the stretch and edged away to get the win at Belterra. After a four-length debut win, BAREFOOT GYSPY went wire to wire to win the $75,000 Southern Park S. The Wesley Ward trainee is owned by Hat Creek Racing and was bred by Peter J. Sheppell out of the Royal Applause (GB) mare, Ela Enta (GB).
