PRIDE AND PASSION Pulls Away in Maiden Win at Woodbine

After pressing the pace early on, PRIDE AND PASSION took the lead at the top of the stretch and drew away for a 3 3/4-length victory at Woodbine. The 3-year-old son of TAMARKUZ raced up close to the lead no more than a length off the frontend in this 10-horse field. He rallied on the turn to take control heading for home and pulled away down the lane to finish under a hand ride racing 6 1/2 furlongs on the all weather. PRIDE AND PASSION is a homebred for Ben Hutzel and is out of the Medaglia d’Oro mare, Wild Eyes.
