Now 15 First Crop Winners After Two New 3YOs

BELLE OF BOYD, making her racing debut, challenged for the lead on the turn, then drew off for a 6 3/4-length win going 5 1/2 furlongs at Canterbury. The 3-year-old filly by ALBERTUS MAXIMUS was bred by JK Farm out of the Dehere mare Cuz You Never Know. LEGEND OF TORO, a 3-year-old son of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS, was bumped leaving the gate, but hustled to take the lead before the first quarter mile and never gave it up to win by a nose going 6 1/2 furlongs at Charles Town. LEGEND OF TORO is out of Maud G, by Black Minnaloushe, and was bred by Bradley Shuler. From his first crop, ALBERTUS MAXIMUS has 27 horses that have won or placed from 32 starters, including 15 winners. That’s a terrific 84% win/place percentage!
