NATCHEZ PASS Sprints Away to Win by 11 Lengths

NATCHEZ PASS won for the 10th time in her career after running away from the competition to win by 11 lengths in a six-furlong sprint. The daughter of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS had moved off to be seven lengths in front by the first quarter mile with little urging. She continued to maintain a long lead through the stretch to the wire for the final margin of victory at Fonner Park. This was her third start back after going to the sidelines for six months. Last year, NATCHEZ PASS won seven times from 12 starts and also placed in the Runza S. after winning her first three starts of the year. She was bred in Kentucky by Jim Plemmons out of Staffette, by Rod and Staff.
