Multiple GSW DOBLE FONDO Makes it Three Consecutive Wins

DOBLE FONDO won for the fourth time in six starts taking the Clasico “Expocomer” by three lengths. The 3-year-old colt from the first crop of G1 millionaire ALBERTUS MAXIMUS battled with a rival around the first turn, but soon took the lead as they raced down the backstretch. He continued to maintain a comfortable lead from there on and was never really threatened to win going 1 1/16 miles, his third consecutive win. DOBLE FONDO closed out his 2-year-old campaign with a wire-to-wire eight-length win in the Clasico German Ruiz B.-G2. He led off this year with an 8 1/2-length win in the G2 Clásico Ernesto Navarro Díaz, Ernesto y Ramón Navarro Diez. In his only two losses, he was runner-up in the G3 Clasico General Jose Antonio Remon Cantera and the G3 Clasico Arquimedes “Fat” Fernandez D. In his debut, DOBLE FONDO was an eight-length winner in which he equaled the track record for 5 1/2 furlongs. He was bred in Kentucky by Cindy Greer Harmon out of Lira Lira, by Canaveral.
