MOWINS Closes to Win Stakes Debut in $100,000 Circle City S.

First-crop 2-year-old colt MOWINS came from just off the pace to win his stakes debut taking the $100,000 Circle City S. by 2 1/4 lengths. A 6 3/4-length Maiden Special Weight winner in his second career start, MOWINS raced on the inside a little more than two lengths off the lead early in this six-furlong sprint. Easing out on the turn, he swung five wide turning for home and rallied full of run to win going away at Indiana Grand. Out of the Pure Prize mare, Prize Winner, MOWINS was bred by Michael E. Lauer & Penny S. Lauer and is trained by Michael Lauer for owners Clay Thoroughbreds and Penny Lauer.
