MOHAYMEN Gets Solid Results with First Crop at Fasig-Tipton Sale

Multiple Grade 2 winner MOHAYMEN had his first crop represented at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase with three sold averaging $106,667, finishing just one slot out of the top five active freshman sires. His average was higher than some well established sires showing that his first crop yearlings are well worth taking a look at. Hip 619, a March 15th foal was purchased by Brick City Thoroughbreds for $125,000. Bred by Carrie Ann Walker, the colt is out of the unraced War Chant mare, Gayatri, and was consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent. Also bringing six figures and selling four hips later was 623, an April 6th foal bred and consigned by Buck Pond Farm, as agent. Out of the Smart Strike mare, Gold Glimmer, the gray or roan colt brought a final bid of $100,000 from Hideyuki Mori.
