MAXIMUS BEAUTY won for the second time in as many starts this year taking a 1 1/16-mile allowance on the turf at Churchill Downs by 1 1/2 lengths. The 4-year-old filly from the second crop of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS was a winner here just 11 days ago going seven furlongs on the main track after an 11-month lay-off. Having placed twice before on the turf, MAXIMUS BEAUTY was back early, went four wide on the far turn, then rallied down the lane to overtake the top two inside the furlong pole and drew clear for the win. Last year she won a one-turn Maiden Special Weight here over a sloppy track to kick off the Kentucky Derby race card. She is a Philip Maas homebred out of the Invasor (ARG) mare, Invasor Beauty, and is trained by Joe Sharp.
