MAXIMIAN Draws Off in Allowance Score

MAXIMIAN won for the second time in his last three starts taking a 1 1/16-mile allowance test by a commanding 4 1/4 lengths. The 4-year-old colt from the first crop of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS settled about four lengths off the front heading into the final turn. He went three wide on the turn, then swung out a bit more for the run down the lane and pulled away through the stretch for this win at Penn National. He now has on-the-board finishes in seven of his last 10 starts, including a narrow runner-up defeat on the turf at Gulfstream Park. MAXIMIAN was a three-length maiden winner at Fair Grounds in his third career start and first start at 3. Bred by Makadam Farms, LLC, Ian Medina and Kiana Medina out of the Real Quiet mare Michele’s Baby, MAXIMIAN is trained by George Albright for Sterling Krumbine.
