Runner-up in the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie S. in February, CLOTHES FALL OFF rallied from second to win the six-furlong Correction S. by 1 1/2 lengths. The 4-year-old filly by DAAHER hit the gate as she broke from the outside post but soon recovered to press the pace. CLOTHES FALL OFF began her rally on the turn, took the lead inside the quarter pole and pulled away for the final margin of victory, earning a 99 Beyer Figure. The Kiaran McLaughlin trainee set a New Track Record here in January and last year was runner-up, beaten a neck, in Keeneland’s Ft. Springs S. A TDN Rising Star after her 2-year-old debut at Saratoga, CLOTHES FALL OFF has now been first or second in 10 of 11 starts, earning $365,160. The $150,000 OBS March Select Sale 2-year-old purchase was bred in Kentucky by Dean Hayes and Shadwell Farm LLC out of the DAYJUR mare, Tequilas Dayjur, and races for Cheyenne Stables LLC, Southern Equine Stable LLC and Hat Creek Racing.
