ALTA RITA by 10 Lengths in Runaway Allowance Score

Having placed at Keeneland earlier this year, ALTA RITA got back on the winning track with an overwhelming 10-length allowance victory going 5 1/2 furlongs. The 4-year-old filly from the first crop of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS took over the lead on the turn and then quickly drew off from the rest of the field at Mountaineer. She was a nearly three-length Maiden Special Weight winner at Turfway and also won an allowance in the next to last start of her 2016 campaign. The $90,000 Keeneland September purchase by current owner Preston Stables was bred by Ponder Hill, Inc. out of Goodbye Beautiful, by Goodbye Doeny.
