After a runner-up finish in her debut, SALARIAQ closed down on the leaders with a quarter mile to go and won this maiden test at Gowran Park by a comfortable two lengths. In a field of 14 racing 1 1/16 miles on a turf rated good to firm, the 3-year-old filly by DAAHER tracked the leaders for the first six furlongs. With a couple furlongs to go, SALARIAQ challenged for the lead, took control and continued to run strongly to the wire. Bred in Kentucky by Galleria Bloodstock and Rhinestone Bloodstock, SALARIAQ is out of the Group 3 winner Alabaq, by Riverman. Her second dam is Salsabil, champion 3yo filly in Europe and Ireland and triple Classic winner who became this first filly in 90 years to capture the Irish Derby-G1 in 1990.
