3YO NATCHEZ PASS Rolls to a Five-Length Victory

Runner-up in three of her last four starts heading into this race, NATCHEZ PASS cut out all the fractions and then drew off to a five-length victory at Indiana Grand. The 3-year-old filly from the second crop of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS set a pressured pace early on after breaking from post two in this nine-horse field. She was finely able to shake clear midturn, then pulled away to the wire under a hand drive going six furlongs. In her first start of the year, NATCHEZ PASS was maiden winner going a mile on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs. She is out of Staffette, by Rod and Staff.
