3YO GRAND GINJO Makes It Two in a Row at Gulfstream

A maiden winner at the Fair Grounds in November, GRAND GINJO followed that up with a 1 1/4-length tally going a mile on the main track at Gulfstream Park. The newly-turned 3-year-old son of DAAHER pressed the pace early between rivals. As they neared the quarter pole, GRAND GINJO went head to head with another for the lead and eventually pulled away in the stretch to get the victory. In his maiden win he drew off to win by six lengths, also at a mile. GRAND GINJO was bred by Bill Meyer and Cathy Meyer out of Brahms Top Shelf, by Brahms, and is trained by Joe Sharp for owners Wayne Sanders and Larry Hirsch.
