3YO CLASSICAL MUSIC Returns to Winner’s Circle After Allowance Score

Making her third start after an 11-month lay-off, CLASSICAL MUSIC rallied through the stretch to take a 5 1/2-furlong allowance by 1 1/4 lengths. The 3-year-old filly from the second crop of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS settled nearly six lengths back in the early stages. She put in a sustained closing drive through the stretch switching out six wide to catch the frontrunner inside the final furlong and get the win at Thistledown. CLASSICAL MUSIC was a debut winner at two last year taking a Maiden Special Weight by three lengths as much the best. She is out of the Prospector’s Music mare Music Miss and was bred by Nancy Lavrich who races her in partnership with Elizabeth Rankin.
