Allowance Winner Plus Winners on Dirt and Turf at Fair Grounds and Tampa

CHOSEN ROYAL rallied from fifth after a 1/2 mile to win a one mile Maiden turf event at Tampa Bay by 1 1/2 lengths. The 4-year-old son of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS had placed in four other starts on turf and all-weather. He is a Linda Merritt homebred out of the Pulpit mare, Lipstick Pulpit.
DANCE TILL TWO is now two for two this year after drawing off to win this six-furlong test at Fair Grounds by 3 1/2 lengths. The 4-year-old filly from the second crop of ALBERTUS MAXIMUS swung five wide turning for home and drew off in the final 1/16th to cross the wire under a mild hand ride. She was coming off a three-length wire-to-wire win here in early January. DANCE TILL TWO was bred by Leonard Warf & Patricia Clark out of the Blue Ensign mare, Ti Voglio.
NATCHEZ PASS made it two straight wins with a 1 1/2-length allowance score against eight rivals. The victory for the 4-year-old filly by ALBERTUS MAXIMUS going four furlongs at Fonner Park followed a pace-setting five-length win in October racing six furlongs at Indiana Grand. Bred by Jim Plemmons out of Staffette, by Rod and Staff, NATCHEZ PASS was a Maiden winner going one mile on the turf at Tampa Bay.
