$315,000 MOHAYMEN First-Crop Yearling at F-T Kentucky October

At the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling Sale, MOHAYMEN led all first-crop sires with the highest priced individual sold. Hip 844, a gray or roan colt, brought a final bid of $315,000 from Frank Smith, agent, on behalf of Tom D’Ambra’s Trade Winds Farm. Consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent, for Redly Bloodstock, the May 10th foal out of Super Phoebe, by Malabar Gold, was bred by Mt. Joy Stables, Pope McLean, Marc McLean and Pope McLean, Jr. Said Smith after the purchase, “I’m glad we got him. He was the big horse.”
