1st Crop 2YO WIN FOR THE MONEY Takes Woodbine Maiden Special

Making his second career start, WIN FOR THE MONEY dueled from the outset and proved best down the lane to take this seven-furlong, $126,000 Maiden Special Weight on the all-weather at Woodbine by 2 1/2 lengths. The 17th winner from the first crop of MOHAYMEN broke on top from post eight in the 12-horse field to put himself into the race from the outset. He dueled early on the backstretch and around the turn, then eventually arrested the lead in upper stretch and ran to the wire in a driving finish. The $350,000 2-year-old purchase by Live Oak Plantation was bred by Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey out of the War Chant mare, Mayakoba.
