SAAFI, the 2-year-old daughter of SWAIN, earned her maiden victory in the 2:00 at Beverly going slightly more than seven furlongs over the good to firm going.

Making all the running, SAAFI cleared the field and opened up inside the final furlong to win by five lengths.

SAAFI is a Shadwell homebred and she is trained by Mark Johnston. She was produced by the Storm Cat mare, Reem Al Barari.
